Industrial electronics have changed. Rather than component repair, as I was trained, we depend on module and board swapping.
Most consumer electronic devices are not manufactured with reparability in mind. New devices are coming out ever day. When the device fails we want another one anyways.
I do some electronic repair; Ham radio, CB radio, broadcast engineering.
eBook Formatting
You would think this is easy. Take the book you wrote save it in a MS Word document or maybe even as html and upload. This only works on very simple books.
This was actually one of our very first projects. We were trying to format a book for the Amazon Kindle. It turns out the Kindle uses a subset of html.
The Kindle is optimized for the reader and not necessarily for the author.
The best way to approach it is to get it into html format. Once it is in html strip out all except the paragraph tags and build up from there
Computer repair or coding
Another thing I like to do is hunt down and remove malware from computers. Get them to running like new again.
Technology should work for you not the other way around. That is where coding comes in. If you do something often then let your computer take over the job.
